About the event

The 2021 Global Drone Solutions State Drone Racing Championship is a 2 day event open to all current MAAA membership holders wanting to battle it out against the best FPV drone pilots in the state. Enter to be in the running for a share of over $2000+ in prizes or to be crowned the reigning 2021 state drone racing champion.

Racing Entry Fee - $20 for both days paying online or $30 on the day (All revenue returned in prizes) SPECTATORS FREE WE WILL BE CAPPING IT AT 24 PILOTS so get in quick Here is some information. Pilot fees will be $20 a head if you pay online or before the event or $30 on the day.

We are going with an 8 round seeded competition, with the top 4 pilots going straight into the grand final. The next 4 pilots 5th ,6th,7th and 8th will race off, only the winner will advance to the grand final. The grand final races will be between the top 5 pilots. The first pilot to win 3 races will be crowned the 2021 Global Drone Solutions State Champion. Full R-class and qualifying times for open class will be on the Saturday while Sunday will just the open class racing. It will be held at our new home of Drone racing Rhodes Park Kwinana.

All attending pilots must hold a current MAAA membership and are expected to help with the track setup from 8am. All competing dones must be present for scrutineering from 9:30am Saturday (If you are unable to make Saturday please let us know and arrangements can be made Sunday to check your equipment) VTX power output and frequency lock will be checked and must be set to 25mw and be able to operate on all FATSHARK and RACEBAND frequencies. DJI and SharkBite will be allowed to compete. Fail-safes will also be checked and drones must be set to terminate all responses within 3 seconds of radio signal loss.

Due to the ongoing COVID health crisis we ask that all attendees follow social distancing measures and strict hygiene practices during the event. If you are feeling unwell at all in the lead up to the event we advise that you stay home and reserve the right to reject your admittance if it is clear that you are sick.
